The pandemic has hit India by the storm, and no one had anticipated the human crises that our nation is going through. In these desperate times of dire help, many companies have come forward to secure its employees against the odds of coronavirus. From free vaccinations drives to the employees, advances, full health cover, Flexi working, to standing by all their employees like a pillar, these tech giants have left no stone unturned to be the epitome of strength during such time. We have listed down a few such companies trailing wellbeing for their employees. 

  1. Visionet: Visionet, an IT and BPM firm, would be covering 100 percent vaccination costs for all its staff (full-time, contract, and intern). The company is already in advanced discussion with private service providers for vaccination, and the drive will start as soon as government approvals and procurement of vaccines are allowed.  The vaccination drive will be voluntary for employees and their immediate families, who can avail of it in major cities. Visionet added 100% coverage for diagnostic testing and the associated visit related to COVID-19. Immediate paid medical leave for any employee diagnosed with COVID-19. Employees with monthly or quarterly incentive plans were assured that Visionet would account for the impacts on operations. And, paid caregiver leave for employees caring for an ill family member.

  2. HCL Technologies: HCL Technologies is offering an insurance cover of Rs 30-lakh and an additional Rs 7-lakh employee deposit insurance cover to employees for Covid. In the event of an employee’s unfortunate demise due to Covid, the families will be given the full value of this cover, as also an amount equal to the one-year salary of the employee. Around 1,600 employees of the company have been affected by Covid and there have been some casualties too.

  1. Infosys: IT services major Infosys has doubled its commitment towards COVID relief efforts to Rs 200 crore that will be used to add hospital beds and augment the supply of oxygen concentrators and ventilators among other activities. Infosys has also collaborated with over 130 hospitals across India, where staff and their family members can get vaccinated.

  1. IBM: Vaccination for all the employees at IBM, vaccination camps, in line with Government regulations, in all major cities for the employees and their family members. Dedicated 24×7 medical helpline through Portea for a variety of services. These include doctor consultation, medical and home care services, testing services; 500 oxygen concentrators to support IBMers and their families. Emergency Transport for Medical Needs in which IBM will offer emergency transport facilities for medical requirements for both employees and immediate family members.

  1. TCS: Health and well-being of the employees continue to be the primary focus for TCS. TCS has enabled benefits and services for all associates and eligible dependents during the Covid-19 pandemic. Some of these include, paid quarantine leave, 24×7 TCS Covid-19 helpdesk to seek any assistance required, 24×7 TCS Medical Hotline to reach doctors, and TCS Cares services for counseling.
